Standards

As the pioneers in the all-in-one pressure washer market we know one or two things about standards, directives and regulations. The Nomad products are the only ones on the market that have published standards.

  • Both Nomad™ products meet the British Standards BS EN 60335-2-54:2003
  • Household and similar electrical appliances. Safety. Particular requirements for surface-cleaning appliances for household use employing liquids.
  • Both Nomad products meet the exacting (US) UL standard 1776 (UL Standard for Safety High-Pressure Cleaning Machines).
  • The pumps meet Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulations.
  • Both products meet RoHS (Restriction of Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Regulations 2008.
  • Our Environment Agency licence to sell the product under the WEEE Regulations is WEEE/GG0612VS, a legal requirement.
  • Licensed with the Environment Agency to sell under the Battery and Accumulators Regulations.

Beware products that don't meet standards!

What's not a Nomad

The product to the right is not a Nomad as some retailers incorrectly call it.

The real Nomad products have a valve that acts as a switch on the water outlet/hose connector which prevents water coming out when the hose is attached. This prevents the 'fountain' effect seen in the picture where water pours into the electrical connection.

The products above are not Nomads. Nomad products have larger pumps that produce a higher working pressure and a more effective cleaning performance.
