Performance

Here are some standard industry measurements and tests performed on the 12 V Auto Corded washer and Nomad 18 V Cordless washers, compared with our competitors. These show clearly the Nomad products to be best in class.

Actual working pressure over time using a battery

The graph shows actual working pressure measured in the hose while working off the respective batteries.

Confused by what our competitors are saying? So are we.

Fact 1. The 'between' 'x' and 'y' figures they quote are taken from a sticker on the pumps' internal pressure switch.
This is the operating range of the pressure switch that turns the pump on and off at high speed. Which is how these types of pumps work. So, we're not sure why our competitors are quoting these figures, because they don't tell you how your washer actually performs.

Fact 2. Everyone else – including us – quotes the actual working pressure in the hose, as this is the British Standard the rest of the industry works to. To help you, in the first column in the table below we have measured our products' and our competitors' actual working pressure – 20cm from the pump – with the spray gun working on the mid spray setting, which is the one most commonly used.

Fact 3. It's not just about pressure in the hose; the spray gun design makes a big difference to performance. To help you again, we have calculated the cleaning force of our products and our competitors'. This is what most people refer to when they ask 'what's the pressure?'

So, measured correctly, the story is completely different
