Why an all-in-one pressure washer?
When you're in the middle of nowhere enjoying the great outdoors, you don't want to take the great outdoors back home with you. So, the great thing about our all-in-one pressure washers is you take the water with you and clean you and gear down quickly - and safely - before you head off home.
How do they work?
They consist of a water tank with an integral water pump all in one. The only other components are the power cable that plugs into your car power socket, or a battery, the hose and the spray gun.
Why a lower pressure washer?
The advantage of our all-in-one pressure washers is they are compact, they use water sparingly and they are safe for a wide range of uses: cooling and cleaning down your horse or washing down your dog; rinsing the beach off your gear; blasting mud off mountain bikes, and rinsing down cars and motorbikes. The other larger and much more powerful washers simply over-deliver in many cases, aren't as portable and you can't take the water with you.
What is the difference between NiCad and Li-ion Batteries and Chargers?
The Lithium ion (Li-ion) are a more modern battery technology that has a higher power density, easier to recycle, don’t self discharge at such a high rate as a NiCad’s, don’t suffer form “memory” issues like NiCad’s if not fully discharged before recharging and are generally smaller and lighter for a given power rating. The Li-ion battery we use is a 2.4 Amp Hour (Ahr) one and the NiCad is a 1.7 Ahr – that is why the Li-ion battery runs the nomad 18 V for longer – it’s go more energy stored within it. The Li-ion battery we use also has a fuel gauge built into it – there is a button that when you press it light us green, amber or red depending on its state of charge/discharge.
Can I use the Li-ion Battery and Dual Chemistry Charger with my existing Nomad 18 V?
Yes and no - let us explain... The new Li-ion battery and dual chemistry charger is fully backward compatible with any Nomad 18 V washer ever sold. The dual chemistry charger will even charge a Nomad 18 V NiCad battery (hence the name dual chemical-NiCad/Li-ion), but you CANNOT charge a Li-ion battery in either the NiCad mains charger or optional NiCad in-vehicle quick charger. Existing Nomad 18 V NiCad washer owners can upgrade to Li-ion, but you need both the Li-ion battery and the dual chemistry charger (that is why we sell both as the Li-ion upgrade kit) – buying this kit effectively renders your existing NiCad charger redundant. There is also a new Li-ion in-vehicle charger – in fact it’s an approved inverter that connects the Li-ion mains/dual chemistry charger to your cigarette lighter socket/vehicles powerport.
The NomadTM products are exceptionally quiet in use so you won't scare off the wild life or annoy people around you. In fact, buy one of these and we guarantee you will make new friends!
Hundreds of uses
Our customers very often buy a Nomad for one use and then discover many others.
Kinder to the environment
Because they pump only as fast as you can clean, you use and waste less water.
The Nomad products comply with the European RoHS Directive (the Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment) and the WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). We are registered with the Environment Agency's compliance Scheme, Membership Number WEEE/GG0612VS.
This means that we pay for the recycling of the product at the end of its useful life. All you need to do is take it to your local council recycling centre. (But we hope it won't come to that!)
We also use the original transport packaging when we send you your order.
Can I plug a Nomad into the mains?
No. You must never plug any of our products directly into the mains supply.
Whilst there are several 240V AC mains adapters to power 12V dc products available on the market they are all labelled for indoor use only and so we do not sell or recommend their use.
